Measure Your Pupillary Distance (PD) Using The Camera On Your Phone Or Computer

You will need a standard ATM card, or any card of the same size. The card is only used as a measuring tool. Please note the card image will not be stored.

How to take your photo

Site Posture
  • Position yourself so that you are about 16 inches (arm length) from the camera on your device.

Directions for the next screen

  • Hold the card at the bottom and place it flat and level under your nose.
  • Look directly at the camera with your eyes wide enough to see your pupils.
  • Make sure your head is within the highlighted area.

Unable to detect camera

Allow access to your webcam and check that it is not already in use.

Hold still and look directly at your camera.

Capture

Once your face and card are in position, remove your glasses and look directly into your camera, then press “Capture”. See instructions again.

Check that your eyes are looking straight ahead and that the edges of your card are visible.
